Singing, testimonials and a sign language performance by God's Handy Work, featured high in the first Peace Vigil organized by the Violence Prevention Alliance.The event which was part of a series of activities marking Peace Month was held in Emancipation Park.
Organizers of the event say they are are pleased with the level of support shown by individuals, community groups and individual organizations like the Peace Management Initiative, the Ministry of Health and the National Housing Trust.
The Peace Vigil on Tuesday was followed by the launch of a Learning Net-Works (LNW) center in Rose Town on Wednesday.
